Mental health support
for people with a
learning disability
If you have a learning disability and are struggling with your mental health or emotional wellbeing, you can get support.
Many people can access the same mental health services as everyone else, with reasonable adjustments to make support easier to understand and use. Find out how to access this support here.
If you have more complex needs, our Community Team for Learning Disabilities (CTLD) can provide specialist support and work alongside your GP, mental health services and other professionals.
The team can help with things such as understanding and expressing feelings and emotions, complex mental health needs, and finding the right support for you. You can refer yourself to the service, or a family member or professional can make a referral.
