Mental Health Support Team (MHST)
What do MHST do?
Mental Health Support Teams work in schools and colleges across Hull and the East Riding to support children and young people with their emotional wellbeing and mental health.
The teams offer early support for difficulties such as anxiety, low mood, worry, low self-esteem and sleep problems, helping young people get support before things feel too big or overwhelming. Support can include one-to-one sessions, group work and help for parents, carers and education staff.
How to access support
If your school or college has a Mental Health Support Team, you can speak to a member of staff about accessing support.
Referrals can also be made directly to the MHST Coordination Team, who can advise whether the service is the right option and what support may be appropriate.
