Health Visiting

Humber Teaching NHS Foundation Trust provides Health Visitors in both Hull and East Riding.

0-19’s Services

The early years bring lots of change, for babies, young children and the people caring for them. Having the right advice and support along the way can make a real difference to the wellbeing of the whole family.

Health visitors are registered nurses or midwives with additional specialist public health training. Our Health Visiting Services support families from pregnancy until their child starts school, working alongside parents and carers to give children the best possible start in life.

Whether you are expecting your first baby, adjusting to family life, wondering about your child’s development or finding things difficult yourself, our teams are there to offer advice, reassurance and support.

How we can help

Health visiting teams can support families with:

Your baby or young child’s development and emotional wellbeing

  • Sleep and behaviour

  • Infant feeding and nutrition

  • Parenting and adjusting to family life

  • Healthy lifestyles and school readiness

  • Wider family or safeguarding support

Support is available in person, through drop-in sessions and over the telephone.
